Week 8: September 12 - September 16
Monday September 12th: Students will continue with practice of their vocabulary for unit 8E1.2 via Quizlet (either "Learn Mode" or "Game Mode.")
Tuesday September 13th: Students will be introduced to the concept of bioindicators, and the role the macroinvertebrates have within the Hydrosphere. Whole group notes will be provided, alongside a skeleton outline for students to fill in. Wednesday September 14th: As practice of macroinvertebrates, students will be led through a bioindicator review game, identifying good/poor water quality via the macros present. Thursday September 15th and Friday September 16th: Students will be introduced to the concept of Eutrophication, understanding such by recognizing the role nitrates and phosphates play within the growth of the algae blooms. To better understand such, students will be led through whole group notes via a skeleton outline. |

Week 9: September 19 - September 23
Monday September 19th: As a cumulative component of the Hydrosphere, students will test various water samples from CCMMS and Looney Poole Golf Course for D.O., Phosphates, Nitrates, pH, etc.
Tuesday September 20th: Students will be led through a whole group review on the 8E.1 unit, including a review guide and practice SchoolNet questions. Wednesday September 21st: Students will complete an 8E.1 Unit Assessment. Students will analyze their assessment for mastery, noting which sub-standards were met vs. not met and how to improve accordingly. Thursday September 22nd: Students will use the class period to finalize details of their Unit Project. Friday September 23rd: Students will present on their Unit Projects. |
